Peanut butter and Chocolate…homemade Apple pie…a great new hair cut…or the perfect song…this is how strongly Maddie LOVES Baby Einstein’s Old McDonald DVD…she literally screams following me around the house until I put it on for her…she watches it…she dances to it…she sways to it…she screams to it…and she talks to it…she loves everything about this video…I am glad she is so passionate and that she is starting to discover her likes an dislikes…however, we may have to get another flat screen just for her…I know that video’s are not great for development…BUT she was in the hospital…I put it on…and since then it has been a hard habit to break…she likes to eat to it…wake up to it…I bet if she did not get so excited about it she would even sleep to it…Maddie is very sick right now…she is coughing, aching, crying, running a fever and her nose is on consistent over flow…so Maddie is getting anything she wants…another habit to break SOON...ice cream and cheetos for dinner…
Poor baby girl! I hope she feels better soon but for now I say let her watch all the baby einstein she wants and there's NOTHING wrong with cheetos and ice cream for dinner...well as long as it's not every night! :)

ReplyDeleteI hope she feels better soon...that stinks to have sick kids. We are hopefully done with that for at least a couple weeks! Yes, when they are sick it is whatever makes them feel better:)...
ReplyDeleteAww Maddie...Kaety's been very sick this last week too. And I totally understand the "give 'em what they want when they feel awful." We all do it...whatever "it" is that helps them feel better. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery (and I think I need to go buy that DVD!) :) Hope things are right as rain soon! :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor sweetie. It stinks when they're sick! John Michael asks for the Fresh Beat Band show all the time! I think he could watch 24/7. I know it's hard to take something away when it seems educational. I break him by taking him outside and changing the scenery. Good luck with that :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope Maddie is feeling better soon. Claire's been a little under the weather too. With teething and allergies, she's not always herself. The only video Claire really watches is Signing Time. I try not to put her in front of it too often, but some days that is the only way I can get a shower.
