shake of the head...

Going bonkers…Maddie is driving me silly! everything that is put away is now not! clothes out of drawers…then in to the laundry basket or on the floor! silverware out of the drawer…thrown across room...toys in boxes...out on the floor…markers in containers…put in garbage...she can open the cabinets and out comes everything (yes the are child proof –just not Maddie proof…with a head nod and a “there”…when I try to redirect Maddie simply rolls her eyes and continues…not very nice from a 2 year old! in 5 minutes she was in the bathroom playing in the toilet…going outside and driving a hot wheel on the deck almost falling off…and at the sink to wash her hands…busy is an understatement with her…today I brought snow in the house for her to play and keep busy…she decided it was fun to stomp in it and all around, throw it and best of all eat it--naturally…I was trying to get meaningful play with her…demonstrating cars, barbies, bowls, etc…she just likes to takeover and destroy…to think I was worried she would not be typical or normal! I however am very tired…so the blog and house cleaning have taken to the back-burner! If my eyes are not on Maddie there is trouble being found!

  1. Yes, that sounds very busy! A very independent spirit that may drive you silly but will someday make her very successful in life! :)

  2. Yep. I know exactly what you're going through. Little Miss D doesn't want what give her to occupy her time. Instead she finds a way to get into the things I don't want her to have ;-)

  3. Are you sure Sutter didn't stop by??? I swear they are two peas on a pod! I went in my bedroom yesterday to find all of the clothes out of the two bottom drawers in my dresser in laundry baskets and the dirty clothes that were in the baskets on the floor! For the past several months my house has been in a constant state of disaster because I simply don't have the time or energy to keep up with his chaos! Our toilet paper has been kept on the bathroom counter for months and it isn't locked or glued down Sutter thinks it's fair play! I spend ALL DAY trying to contain him and his messes and I'm failing miserably...not that his comment helps you in anyway, I just wanted you to know that I completely understand!!!

  6. Claire is the same way, and I know she will be even busier when she is walking! Almost makes me glad she isn't yet. :) I almost don't even bother trying to keep my house picked up anymore.
